Our building, York on William, at 54 York St, is situated at the corner of York & William is one of the oldest buildings in Ottawa, dating back to 1875 (older than our current parliament buildings). The Swalwell-Borbridge Building was its original name, it is a commercial building designed by Ottawa Architect William Hodgson. Early occupants included an undertaker, a baker, & a wholesaler, uses which reflect the diverse commercial activity of the ByWard Market in the 19th Century.
Once the home to the Former Fish Market Restaurant, Coasters, & Vineyards Wine Bar.
